Job Purpose

To plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing operations to achieve production targets, ensure product quality, optimize costs, and meet delivery timelines in alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Prepare and execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans.
  
• Monitor production progress and drive corrective actions to achieve targets.
  
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
  

2. Quality & Process Control

• Ensure adherence to customer and internal quality standards.
  
• Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Poka-Yoke, and other process control initiatives.
  
• Collaborate with QA teams to resolve in-process and customer complaints.
  

3. People Management

• Lead and mentor supervisors and shop-floor teams.
  
• Conduct skill development and safety training programs.
  
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and a positive shop-floor culture.
  

4. Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to EHS norms and statutory requirements (Factories Act, PCB, etc.).
  
• Conduct safety audits and drive a zero-incident culture.
  
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards.
  

5. Cost Control & Continuous Improvement

• Reduce production costs through waste elimination and efficiency enhancement.
  
• Drive CI projects to improve OEE, productivity, and process yield.
  
• Implement energy-saving and cost-optimization initiatives.
  

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize breakdown and downtime.
  
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports (production, rejection, downtime, resources).

Preferred Experience

• CNC machining / fabrication / assembly line operations
  
• Exposure to IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
  
• Experience in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma methodologies
  
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and production planning tools
