Oversee industrial hygiene programs, noise monitoring, and employee health surveillance in coordination with OHC. Lead ERT (Emergency Response Team) and Safety Committee activities as per statutory norms. Environmental Management & Sustainability Drive initiatives for water, air, and waste management in compliance with MPCB norms. Monitor and report ETP/STP performance and stack emissions. Support Piramals corporate ESG goals. People Development & Safety Culture Conduct EHS onboarding, behavioral safety training, toolbox talks, and refresher programs for employees and contract workforce. Champion site-wide EHS campaigns (e.g., National Safety Week, Environment Day) to build a proactive safety culture. Manage and optimize injection molding quality control, including: Material selection and testing (resins, polymers). Process parameter optimization to minimize defects such as warping, sink marks, and short shots. Implementation of real-time monitoring and defect detection technologies. Ensuring compliance with industry best practices for plastic components used in electronic products. Compliance & Certifications Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BIS, RoHS, CE, FCC, and other global regulatory requirements. Lead internal and external audits for regulatory approvals and maintain all necessary certifications. Develop and maintain safety and environmental management systems aligned with international best practices. Customer Quality & Market Feedback Analyze customer complaints, warranty claims, and field failures to identify trends and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce product returns, warranty costs, and customer dissatisfaction. Collaborate with the after-sales service team to track product performance and reliability in the field. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to drive continuous quality improvement. Introduce automation and AI-based quality inspection techniques to enhance production efficiency. Develop and conduct regular training sessions to ensure all employees, from factory workers to management, understand and adhere to quality standards. Promote a zero-defect mindset within the organization, ensuring proactive rather than reactive quality management. Key Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Polymer Science). Experience: 12+ years in Quality Management, preferably in electronics, home appliances, or automotive manufacturing. Expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ESD S20:21, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), and SPC (Statistical Process Control). Experience with BIS, RoHS, CE, FCC, and other regulatory standards. Hands-on experience in injection molding quality control, defect analysis, and process optimization. Knowledge of AI-based quality inspection, ERP & Quality Management Software (SAP, MES, etc.) is a plus. Essential Job Tasks Implementation of Engineering SOPs and guidelines across multiple hotels of the region. Ensuring that a robust maintenance process is followed across hotels. Areas of Responsibility General Management: Responsible for organizing the engineering function in the hotel to carry out continuous improvement of existing processes, methods, and tools to enhance design quality and efficiency. Oversee recruitment and training for the engineering department. Mentor and guide the engineering department. Technical: Adhere to IHCL SOPs and property-specific brand standards as per guidelines. Ensure that Capex is budgeted, planned, and executed according to the timeline. Implement a preventative maintenance program for all equipment at the hotel. Develop and execute action plans for recurring complaints/incidents. Ensure minimal downtime for equipment/machinery. FPL and R&M Cost: Prepare annual budgets for FPL and R&M costs for the property. Drive the latest energy and water-efficient initiatives. Carry out monthly/weekly reviews on variations in FPL and R&M. Share month-end reports on FPL and R&M with AED/VP Engineering, including reasons for variations and an action plan to address concerns. Safety: Ensure compliance with IHCLs FLS policy and guidelines for the hotel. Carry out safety audits for the hotels and report red flags to AED. Possess knowledge of OSHA procedures, HACCP, Hygiene, ISO 14001. Ensure proper maintenance and testing of Fire & Life Safety equipment detectors, sprinklers, PA systems, fire pumps, fire detection systems, etc. Drive adherence to SOPs for critical processes like chemical safety, machine safety, PPM, and others. Investigate incidents/accidents with root cause analysis and implement learnings. Ensure training for all individuals in the department. Sustainability: Implement and review IHCLs Sustainability program. Implement Sustainability Certifications like LEED, Earth Check, etc. Conduct monthly reviews of data entries in the Sustainability platform for energy, water, waste, and other streams. Statutory Compliances: Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations such as PCB, Fire, Electrical, Water Supply, Borewell, Boiler, and others.
