Role & responsibilities Manager -Expeller and Solvent operations is required to ensure efficient production, quality control, and process people management for his division. This involves overseeing the extraction of crude oil, maintaining quality standards, coordinating the internal supply chain, and managing safety and maintenance protocols to optimize costs and ensure the smooth operation of plant machinery and equipment. Operations Management Plan and monitor production schedules, make necessary adjustments when required, oversee the setup and operation of the Expeller division equipment for extraction of crude oil from seeds, ensuring SOPs are followed for optimal crude oil extraction. Ensure raw material and crude oil samples are tested for quality and collect timely reports for validation. Coordinate for supply of crude oil to the refinery& fractionation division in line with the production schedules. Lead the resolution of any alarm flooding, management, and rationalization issues. Handle indenting from stores as per the shift requirement,, and maintain day-to-day stock of feed and oil stock as well as utilities consumption, arrange for any other resources as required. Quality Control Optimize production cost through precise cost estimations and budget negotiations with clients and managers. Adherence to Safety, environment, Hygiene and Maintenance Procedures. Process Control Assure all planning, scheduling and managing all process control engineering activities, emergency shutdown system (ESD) and safety instrumented system (SIS) activities, and safety integrity level (SIL) activities related to plant facilities are coordinated and performed safely and efficiently. Provide daily process control, SIS (safety instrumented system), and ESD (emergency shutdown system) support to the plant to keep the plant systems operational. Improve and ensure the reliability and integrity of the SIS, ESD, and process control systems. Maintenance Plan and ensure execution of preventive maintenance schedule, availability of spares stock, verification of preventive Maintenance (Electrical and Mechanical) by the team. Scheduling of annual maintenance and budgeting People Management and Continuous Improvement Shift planning and Manpower planning and handling in the division. Promote continuous improvement culture, Train people on Kaizen and Marinating 5S Standards Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements, carry out internal audits for process robustness and gap identification, and take corrective actions when needed. Maintain the highest standards of workplace safety to ensure an accident-free work environment. MIS and Data Management Generate reports and MIS, and review with peers and superiors for data-based decisions and necessary actions as and when required.
