Roles and Responsibilities It is a pivotal role and should be expert in seamless functioning of supply chain operations. The candidates responsibilities are multifaceted, encompassing various aspects of logistics management. Import / Export: All aspects of export and import operation on end-to-end solution is most aspect of this position. Vendor Relations: The logistics executive is the primary point of contact, fostering strong partnerships for operational success. Inventory Management: Effective procurement and inventory management is key. This involves monitoring stock levels, forecasting demand, and implementing just-in-time inventory systems to reduce excess stock and associated costs. The logistics executive ensures inventory is managed efficiently to meet consumer demands. Cost Management: They are responsible for developing cost-effective logistics strategies. This includes budgeting, controlling expenses, and identifying areas for cost reduction without compromising on quality or efficiency, ensuring the financial health of the logistics operations. Transportation Coordination: Overseeing transportation involves arranging the movement of goods, selecting optimal transportation methods, and ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards. The logistics operations executive ensures timely, cost-effective, and secure transportation of products. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international regulations is vital. The logistics executive stays abreast of legal requirements, ensuring all logistics activities adhere to these standards to avoid legal repercussions making sure operations go smoothly without any compliance issue. Quality Assurance: Implementing and monitoring quality control measures throughout logistics is essential. This ensures the integrity and safety of products during storage and transit, maintaining high standards of quality.
