This role in context

As Managing Editor, you’ll oversee operations: from assigning stories to creator partnerships and optimising workflows. You’ll shape formats, fine-tune voice and build systems that scale. This role will evolve to include strategic responsibilities including oversight of monetisation and growth initiatives while remaining editorial-first.

Qualifications

* Strong newsroom leadership experience (or clear potential)

* Demonstrated editing chops

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills

* Experienced in video and platform-native storytelling

* Proven success leading high-growth, early-stage startups or teams

* Strong understanding of revenue streams and partnerships

* Prior experience working with creators a big plus

* Bonus if you’ve worked across international teams

* Track record scaling media businesses and iterating quickly

* Knowledge of Adobe Premier ideal but not required
