Spot On is an independent news startup reimagining how young Indians get their news 🗞️ We tell the stories that matter -- clearly, creatively and with courage. We’re now looking for a Social Media Manager who lives and breathes social-first storytelling 🤳

📍 Full-time | 100% remote | 100% social video

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

👩‍🎨 know how to craft thumbnails & headlines

👯 engage communities authentically

🏃‍♀️‍➡️ follow news, internet culture and creators closely

🔎 spot trends before they’re trends and turn them into meaningful stories

📈 delight in data, experimentation and testing what works (and what doesn’t 🙅)

🌱 wish to grow and nurture our audience across platforms

🎤 want to build a distinct voice and presence for Spot On

🤭 have a sense of humour

What you bring:

🔥 3–5 years managing social media for a publisher, creator or digital-first brand

🎯 strong grasp of platform algorithms, audience insights and content strategy

🧠 creative but analytical mindset (you can read the numbers and the room)

📹 deep understanding of social video

🤝 cross-functional collaboration

📝 solid writing & visual judgment (you know how to make a post scroll-stopping)

✨ self starter who takes the initiative

🥷 the chops to shape and execute platform strategies
