Job Title: Senior Manager – Retail Business
Job Responsibilities
Retail Channel Strategy & Expansion
• Define and execute the national retail strategy for exclusive automobile retail formats,
including brand-owned outlets, shop-in-shops, and multi-brand dealerships.
• Identify market white spaces and lead structured expansion into new and untapped
geographies.
• Guide and support regional teams in the effective execution of exclusive channel expansion
plans.
Sales Enablement & Performance Management
• Drive achievement of sales targets across exclusive brand outlets, multi-brand dealerships,
and shop-in-shop formats.
• Monitor retail performance, sales productivity, and sales force effectiveness to maximize
market coverage and throughput.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, resolving operational,
commercial, and activation-related challenges.
Marketing & Demand Generation
• Lead the digital transformation of exclusive retail outlets and ensure adoption across sales
and retail teams.
• Design and implement structured store audit programs covering visibility, branding, hygiene,
and compliance with brand standards.
• Conceptualize and execute impactful marketing initiatives to increase footfall, improve
conversion rates, and drive repeat purchases.
• Track customer retention metrics and strengthen repeat business through data-driven
analysis and insights.
Retail Standards & Capability Building
• Develop and deploy training programs for internal sales teams and dealership/store staff.
• Ensure consistent execution of visual merchandising, feature–advantage–benefit (FAB)
selling, and retail best practices across all channels.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Insights
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and product innovations within the automobile
industry.
• Generate timely and actionable market intelligence through field teams and interactions
with competitor channel partners.
Vendor & Project Management
• Coordinate with external vendors for new showroom and outlet launches, ensuring timely
completion of retail rollout activities.
• Pilot new retail formats and modern trade concepts to assess scalability and effectiveness.
Continuous Development
• Stay updated on the organization’s automobile product portfolio, services, and emerging
retail sales techniques.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of best-in-class retail, dealership, and channel
management practices.
Education
• MBA from a reputed business school.
Experience
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in Automobile, FMCG, Consumer Durables,
Telecom, Paints, Spare Parts, or Furniture industries.
• Strong experience in retail channel management, dealership/store expansion, and sales
enablement.
