Sound knowledge in Infrastructure industry and having worked in the industry is an added advantage and will be preferred.
Thorough knowledge and info all the material required for Infra industry, especially the A-Class material like steel, cement, aggregate, bitumen, sand, etc.
Thorough knowledge in Infrastructure Plant & Equipment which includes Crusher Plants, Hot mix Plants, WMM Plants & Batching Plants, Vehicles and Machinery.
Should maintain good buyer-seller relationship.
Should negotiate and recommend execution of contracts for the, purchase of supplies, services and equipment.
Ensure development of reliable and alternative sources of suppliers
Forecast levels of demand for services and products
Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
Develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met - or exceeded
Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
Constant check on the status of available stocks
Ensure timely supply of material at sites and interact with Stores dept. for confirmation
