Job Title: Manager – School Acquisition & Business Development

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Market Research
  • Identify and engage with existing schools for potential conversion into Birla Open Minds International Schools.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to pinpoint viable geographies for school acquisition and expansion.
  • Sales Strategy & Target Planning
  • Develop and implement region-specific sales strategies to acquire new partner schools.
  • Set, track, and achieve quarterly and annual school conversion targets in line with organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school owners, trustees, and decision-makers.
  • Present the value proposition of Birla Open Minds, covering academic vision, curriculum model, and brand benefits.
  • Due Diligence & Negotiation
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence to assess school viability and alignment with Birla Open Minds' standards.
  • Lead negotiations, finalize partnership agreements, and manage contracts with prospective schools.
  • Brand Integration & Transition Oversight
  • Facilitate a seamless transition of acquired schools into the Birla Open Minds ecosystem.
  • Coordinate with academic, operations, and marketing teams to ensure standardized implementation.
  • Support schools in resolving any challenges during the integration phase.
  • Internal Collaboration
  • Liaise with internal teams (Marketing, Academic, Operations) for aligned execution of school transformation plans.
  • Share market intelligence and strategic inputs with leadership to guide expansion roadmaps.
  • Reporting & Performance Metrics
  • Maintain and report on sales pipeline, conversion ratios, and acquisition milestones.
  • Provide regular progress updates to regional and national leadership teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in education sales, school acquisition, or business development.
  • Proven track record of dealing with school management and closing institutional partnerships.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the Indian K-12 education landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories.
