Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Negotiating labour contracts, resolving labour disputes, creating, and implementing L&ER policies, and providing guidance and training to managers and supervisors.
  • Preparing Annual Returns, Half yearly Returns, and maintaining Statutory Registers and complying all the statutory requirements under the Factories Act, Contract Labour Act and other various Act.
  • Liaising with various Government Authorities like Revenue, Police, Judicial, EB, Labour, PF and ESI Department for filing returns, obtaining approvals / clearances. Attending Labour Court, Industrial Tribunals, Case hearings in PF & ESI, & Conciliation meetings following up the court cases.
  • Conduct cultural intervention programs, Team building programs, Employee Benefit Schemes, Sports activities, Community Relationship Development activities etc., to enhance motivation levels and productivity.
  • Handling complaints, managing grievance procedures, and facilitating counselling in conjunction with other stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage and resolve labour disputes, including contract negotiations, prevention of strikes, and other forms of industrial action.
  • Managing relationship with unions and Participate in Long-Term Wage Settlements.
  • Prepare strategies and review drafts of collective agreements, ensuring that negotiations are properly documented.
  • Organize various welfare activities such as Safety & Health Programs, Cultural Programs, Picnics, Entertainment Party, Management- employee get-together.
  • Set up frequent meetings with the union representatives (Internal & External) to establish the Industrial Peace and safeguard the interests of both workers and management.
  • Negotiation meetings during LTS.

Preferred candidate profile

  • MBA HR / MSW with 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Law degree is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in labour and employee relations (industrial relations, trade unions, compliance, dispute resolution).
  • Strong stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
  • Marathi: extremely fluent in reading, writing, and speaking native speakers preferred
