Manager – IT (Lab & Pharmacy Vertical) Medanta Gurugram

Position: Manager - IT

Location: Medanta Gurugram (Sector -38)

Working Days: 6 Days (Work from Office)

About the Role:

To oversee daily IT operations for Lab and Pharmacy units including LIMS, Pharmacy application support, hardware, and infrastructure management ensuring smooth workflow and system availability across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Support (LIMS & Pharmacy Systems)

• Provide day-to-day support for LIMS and Pharmacy software.

• Resolve application issues, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely closure.

• Test and validate new features before deployment.

• Document recurring issues and track resolution patterns.

• Support machine interfacing between lab instruments and LIMS.

Hardware & Infrastructure Management

• Manage installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT hardware (PCs, printers, barcode scanners, etc.).

• Ensure network connectivity and system uptime across labs and pharmacies.

• Support new lab/pharmacy launches with complete IT setup and configuration.

• Maintain IT asset inventory, tagging, and audits.

Daily Support Operations

• Handle daily IT support calls and service requests from lab and pharmacy teams.

• Prioritize and assign tickets to support staff; ensure SLA compliance.

• Track unresolved issues and coordinate escalations.

• Monitor system uptime and performance metrics.

🔹 Vendor & Procurement Coordination

• Liaise with vendors for hardware AMC, replacements, and issue resolution.

• Process and verify IT-related bills and SAP service entries.

• Coordinate procurement of IT hardware, software licenses, and network items.

Governance & Reporting

• Maintain SOPs, documentation, and IT compliance records.

• Support internal/external IT audits and ensure gap closure.

• Prepare weekly/monthly IT performance and issue summary reports.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

• Supervise IT support engineers handling lab and pharmacy sites.

• Conduct internal training and ensure team productivity.

• Collaborate with Operations, HR, and Finance for daily coordination.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of LIMS / Pharmacy applications

• Knowledge of hardware, networking, and troubleshooting

• Experience with SAP and IT provisioning

• Excellent communication, vendor coordination, and leadership skills

• Familiarity with service management processes

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: B.Tech / BCA / MCA / equivalent in IT or Computer Science

• Experience: 10–12 years in IT support, including 3+ years in a managerial or lead role

• Preferred: Healthcare / Diagnostics domain experience
