About the Role : The role involves overseeing the design and construction of civil infrastructure to support chemical manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. Responsibilities : Site Development and Infrastructure : Design and oversee the construction of civil infrastructure, including foundations, roads, drainage systems, and utilities, to support chemical manufacturing processes. Conduct site evaluations to assess the feasibility and impact of proposed projects. Project Planning and Management : Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements. Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that civil engineering projects comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with regulatory agencies for permits and approvals. Safety and Environmental Considerations : Incorporate safety and environmental considerations into civil engineering designs. Participate in hazard assessments and contribute to the development of safety protocols. Structural Design and Analysis : Design and analyse structural elements to support equipment, tanks, and other components within the manufacturing facility. Ensure structural integrity and compliance with applicable design codes. Construction Oversight : Supervise and coordinate construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety protocols. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress. Maintenance and Repairs : Develop and implement maintenance plans for civil infrastructure. Coordinate repairs and upgrades to address any structural or infrastructure issues. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Required Skills : Technical Proficiency : Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, including structural design, geotechnical engineering, and construction materials. Proficiency in relevant design software and tools. Project Management : Experience in managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion. Ability to create and adhere to project timelines and budgets. Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to civil engineering projects in the manufacturing industry. Ability to navigate and obtain necessary permits and approvals. Safety Focus : Understanding of safety protocols and their integration into civil engineering projects. Knowledge of environmental considerations and sustainable engineering practices. Communication and Collaboration : Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills : Proven ability to analyse complex problems and develop effective engineering solutions. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Preferred Skills : 8-12 years of experience in Civil Engineering, with a focus on industrial or chemical manufacturing projects.
