Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Executive  Department: Facilities / Maintenance Location: Solan, Himachal Pradesh Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Operations Manager Job Summary: The Maintenance Executive is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role includes planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, managing maintenance teams or vendors, ensuring safety and compliance standards, and minimizing downtime across all operations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily maintenance operations (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.). Schedule and conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance. Diagnose faults and oversee timely repair of machinery and equipment. Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and service providers when needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, inspections, repairs, and inventory. Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, tools, and spare parts. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Assist in implementing energy-saving and sustainability initiatives. Provide technical support during new equipment installation or facility upgrades. Train junior maintenance staff or technicians. Requirements: Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field). Experience: 1–3 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management. Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety regulations Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Good organizational and communication skills Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus Working Conditions: May require shift work, weekends, or on-call availability Work is performed in industrial, commercial, or office environments depending on the organization Preferred Qualifications: Certification in maintenance (e.g., CMRP, HVAC, electrical license) Experience in [industry-specific experience like manufacturing, hospitality, real estate, etc.]
