The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL , VSAM , DB2 , and JCL , with the ability to analyze, design, develop, test, and implement efficient business solutions on IBM Mainframe platforms. This role involves supporting legacy systems, enhancing business processes, and ensuring the stability and performance of mission-critical applications. Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL , VSAM , DB2 , and JCL . Analyze business and technical requirements to develop robust mainframe solutions. Work on performance tuning and troubleshooting of mainframe programs and systems. Develop batch and online applications as per business requirements. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT). Modify existing applications to accommodate changes and improve performance. Participate in production support, incident management, and root cause analysis. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and flowcharts. Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. 6+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development .
