Machine Maintenance consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Assess current mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for performance and reliability.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Provide technical expertise to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Train and mentor maintenance teams on best practices and troubleshooting methods.
• Review and recommend spare parts inventory and critical equipment requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Assist in planning shutdowns, overhauls, and major repair activities.
• Conduct root cause analysis for breakdowns and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare maintenance reports, audits, and improvement plans.
• Support the management team with cost-saving strategies and equipment life-cycle planning.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 3 years in a consultant/advisory role.
• Exposure to industries such as manufacturing, heavy machinery, power plants, or process plants preferred.
• Certification in maintenance reliability (optional but preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
