Logistics Specialist

As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for organizing and managing logistics activities to ensure safe and on-time delivery of procured equipment. Your role will involve coordinating with procurement, project management, and lead discipline specialists/engineers to facilitate timely delivery of all procured items. Additionally, you will play a vital role in developing the E&C Logistics organization, tools, and procedures to maintain global standards and ensure smooth supply chain execution of E&C projects. You will also provide support to the Supplier Business Function during the proposal phase of projects. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure accurate documentation for export/import purposes - Negotiate directly with vendors or support the team during negotiations for logistics requirements - Finalize and supervise export standard packing and related documentation - Coordinate with regulatory authorities and customs department for successful export and import clearance - Liaise with DGFT and JDGFT for obtaining and closing of Advance License and Export Obligation Discharge Certificate - Coordinate with various committees and councils for certification renewals and issue resolutions - Provide support for insurance matters clarification and claim management - Identify, track, and report key performance indicators/performance metrics - Support the project team in meeting PPP targets and ensuring document compliance with customs regulations - Possess knowledge of Incoterms, operations, and import/export documents - Capable of understanding technical engineering drawings and reviewing them Qualifications Required: - Bachelors Degree in Engineering; Management Degree/Professional Degree/Diploma in Materials Management/Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Transportation - Discipline: Materials Management/Supply Chain Management - 10 to 15 years of logistics experience with at least 3 years in a senior management position at a global level in a mid-sized multi-national EPC Company - Work experience with related agencies like DGFT, Engineering Promotion Council, Freight Forwarders, CHA, etc. At Air Liquide, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace that values the diversity of our employees, customers, patients, community stakeholders, and cultures worldwide.
