Key Responsibilities

§ Arrange booking of containers with freight forwarders/shipping lines.

§ Coordinate pickup, dispatch, and tracking of export/import shipments.

§ Ensure timely dispatch of goods and update relevant stakeholders.

§ Prepare and maintain all necessary documents like:

·       Commercial Invoice

·       Packing List

·       Bill of Lading / Airway Bill

·       Certificate of Origin              

·       Shipping Instructions

·       Customs Declarations

§ Ensure documentation is compliant with DGFT, Customs, and other regulatory bodies.

§ Coordinate with clients for documentation and shipping schedules.

§ Communicate with transporters, CHA (Customs House Agents), freight forwarders, and other vendors for execution of shipments.

§ Liaise with customs brokers and agencies for clearance of import/export consignments.

§ Ensure timely submission of shipping bills, BoE (Bill of Entry), and related clearance paperwork.

§ Maintain up-to-date records of shipments and documentation in company systems/ERP.

§ File and organize physical and digital records for audit and compliance.

§ Assist in compiling information for DGFT, E-Way bills, duty drawback claims, and other government filings, as guided by seniors.

Key Requirements

§ Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in export/import operations.

§ Industry experience in foam or mattress manufacturing is mandatory.

§ Familiar with INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and basic EXIM documentation.

§ Working knowledge of ERP or Tally and MS Office (especially Excel).

§ Strong coordination and follow-up skills.

§ Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.

§ Basic understanding of government norms (DGFT, Customs, EDI portals, etc.).

Preferred Attributes

§ Ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.

§ Good written and verbal communication skills.

§ Familiarity with HS codes, packaging norms, and freight terms in foam/furniture products.

§ Willingness to learn and support senior team members when required.
