1. Position Overview

The Life Skills Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging, impactful, and learner-centric life skills sessions to youth enrolled in Empower Pragati’s skill development initiatives. The trainer will focus on enhancing trainees’ personal, social, and workplace readiness skills to ensure successful training outcomes, improved employability, and sustained job retention.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Training Delivery

Conduct high-quality life skills sessions using interactive and participatory methodologies.

Cover core modules such as:

Communication Skills (verbal & non-verbal)

Workplace Behavior & Etiquette

Time Management & Goal Setting

Teamwork & Collaboration

Problem Solving & Decision Making

Financial Literacy

Digital Literacy (basic tools, email etiquette, online safety)

Gender Sensitivity & Diversity Awareness

Stress Management & Building Resilience

Health, Hygiene & Professional Grooming

Adapt content to the local context of Rajasthan and the target trainee group.

B. Training Coordination & Classroom Management

Ensure an engaging and positive learning environment.

Conduct pre- and post-assessments to monitor trainee progress.

Maintain attendance, session plans, and training documentation as per organizational standards.

Support mobilization and counselling teams to ensure strong trainee participation.

C. Candidate Counselling & Support

Offer one-on-one counselling to address behavioral, personal, or confidence-related concerns.

Prepare trainees for interviews, workplace norms, and professional communication.

Identify trainees requiring special support and coordinate with the Centre Manager for follow-up.

D. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare daily session reports and assessments.

Update all training-related MIS and records accurately.

Submit monthly progress reports detailing achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

E. Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with the Centre Manager, Domain Trainers, and Placement Team to ensure holistic training delivery.

Participate in internal reviews, audits, and ToTs (Training of Trainers).

3. Required Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Arts, Human Development, or related disciplines.

Certification in Life Skills training preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

1–3 years of experience as Life Skills/Soft Skills/Employability Trainer.

Experience in livelihood, training, or youth development programs preferred.

Freshers with excellent communication skills may also apply.

Core Skills

Strong command over Hindi; working knowledge of English; familiarity with Rajasthani dialects is an advantage.

Effective presentation, facilitation, and youth engagement skills.

Ability to handle diverse groups including rural and low-income youth.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT).

6. Salary - 25K - 27K CTC per month
