Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Major Task - Purpose of the Job

Contract Drafting & Negotiation:

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including PPA, SSHA, MoU, SLA, NDA, and O&M agreements.
Ensure contracts are legally sound, commercially viable, and aligned with the companys strategic objectives.

Legal Advisory:

Provide legal advice on commercial, contractual, and regulatory issues related to solar and renewable energy projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, finance, and operations) to support project execution.

Risk Management:

Identify potential legal risks in contracts and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Assist in dispute resolution, including arbitration, mediation, or litigation, when required.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain organized records of all legal documents and contracts.
Prepare periodic reports on contract status, legal compliance, and risk assessments.

Risk Management:

Identify potential legal risks in contracts and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Oversee and manage litigation cases, including providing legal guidance on the progress of cases, coordinating with external counsel, and ensuring timely and effective legal responses.
Handle disputes related to commercial contracts, regulatory issues, and project-related matters, ensuring the company’s interests are well-protected.
