Finance Manager

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Analysis

- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

- Analyze financial performance, variances, and recommend corrective actions.

- Monitor project-wise profitability and provide financial inputs for pricing and bidding.

2. Accounting & Reporting

- Oversee timely preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.

- Maintain compliance with accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS) and statutory regulations.

3. Project Finance & Fund Management

- Manage project funding, including negotiations with banks/NBFCs for working capital and term loans.

- Ensure timely disbursement and optimal utilization of funds for EPC projects.

- Track project cash flows and coordinate with project teams for cost control.

4. Taxation & Compliance

- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).

- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities as required.

- Ensure statutory filings, ROC compliance, and other regulatory obligations.

5. Cost Control & Risk Management

- Identify areas for cost optimization across project execution and corporate functions.

- Conduct risk assessments for financial operations and implement internal controls.

- Ensure effective insurance coverage and claims management.

6. Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.

- Build strong coordination between site finance, project management, and corporate office.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

- Excellent knowledge of project finance, EPC project accounting, and MIS reporting.

- Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems and MS Excel.

- Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
