Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide legal support in all aspects of real estate transactions, including property acquisition, leasing, development, title verification, and regulatory compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse and high-value real estate projects while gaining in-depth exposure to property law and commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Drafting & Documentation

  • Draft, review and finalize Agreements to Sell, Lease Deeds, Joint Development Agreements, MOUs, NDAs and LOIs.
  • Vet and structure contracts to ensure clarity, risk mitigation and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Support cross-functional teams on project documentation and negotiation.

Property & Title Verification

  • Conduct and review title diligence, ownership chains and property-related legal documents.
  • Coordinate with external legal advisors for preparation of title reports and opinions.
  • Identify and resolve legal risks in property acquisition, development or leasing.

Litigation, Arbitration & Legal Coordination

  • Liaise with external counsels for ongoing litigation, arbitration and other legal matters.
  • Prepare case summaries, maintain litigation trackers and ensure timely action on legal notices and filings.
  • Represent the company in routine matters before local authorities and forums.

Regulatory & Compliance Management

  • Prepare and review documents for RERA registration and submissions.
  • Stay updated on evolving real estate and regulatory laws impacting the business from Regulatory perspective.

Legal Advisory & Governance

  • Provide practical legal advice to management on project and operational matters.
  • Support internal teams on legal correspondence, documentation and dispute prevention.
  • Maintain legal records and ensure safe custody of original property and agreement documents.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.), LL.M. preferred.
  • 5–9 years of relevant experience in real estate, infrastructure or construction sector (developer or reputed law firm).
  • Professionals from non–real estate sectors with a strong legal background and understanding of property laws, contracts or regulatory frameworks can also to apply.
  • Strong understanding of property laws, RERA, IBC and real estate transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with agreements, property due diligence, and regulatory filings.
