Legal Assistant

Role & responsibilities

a. To draft, vet and execute all legal agreements and documents.

b. To manage the termination, extension and amendments of all existing legal agreements.

c. To coordinate with Company Secretary for Statutory Compliances.

d. Co-ordination with Lawyers for Legal opinion, litigation, etc., and working as in- house Advocate.

e. To manage, protect and enforce all Intellectual Property Rights of the company.

f. To manage all legal contracts and letters of the company including Litigation matters, if a company comes across.

Preferred candidate profile

• LL.B. graduate with 2-3 years of experience. Candidate should have worked in City Civil Court/District Court/ lower courts for a minimum of two years.

• Candidate should have good communication and presentation skills.

• Candidate having knowledge of Marathi will have preference.

• Candidates should have knowledge of Title due diligence as well as drafting various documents such as Agreement for Sale, Power of attorney, conveyance deed, development agreement, Lease Deeds, Memorandum of understanding and other necessary documents.

• Candidate should be comfortable with travelling within Mumbai.

• Candidate should have thorough knowledge of registration and adjudication process.

• Candidate should have sound knowledge of Land Laws in Maharashtra.

• Candidate should be able to handle litigation related work including appearance before various authorities.

• Candidate should be able to brief advocates and solicitors to prepare or defend litigation.
