Legal Advisor - Real Estate

The Legal Advisor provides expert legal counsel and support for all real estate activities, ensuring compliance with property laws, managing risks, and protecting the company's interests in acquisitions, developments, transactions, and disputes

Role & responsibilities

• Contract Management:

  Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and deeds.

• Due Diligence:

  Conduct thorough legal due diligence for property acquisitions and disposals, reviewing titles, restrictions, and easements.

• Compliance:

  Ensure all transactions and projects adhere to real estate laws, regulations (e.g., RERA, zoning), and internal policies.

• Advisory:

  Provide strategic legal advice to internal teams (finance, projects, management) on property law, development, and risk mitigation.

• Dispute Resolution:

  Manage and resolve property disputes, litigation, and claims, potentially representing the company in arbitration.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  Liaise with external lawyers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, building strong relationships.

• Legal Research:

  Stay updated on real estate law changes and industry trends.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B/J.D.) from an accredited institution.

• Licensure:

  Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

• Experience:

  Proven experience (e.g., 3-5+ years) in real estate law, property transactions, or development.

• Technical Skills:

  Strong contract drafting, negotiation, legal research, and analytical skills.

• Soft Skills:

  Excellent communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
