About the Job

This role leads client-facing digital solutioning across the Pre sales lifecycle, focusing on decoding RFPs and crafting transformative responses that align with business needs. It involves driving discovery sessions, responding to RFPs, guiding clients through workshops, and presenting tailored digital strategies—spanning analytics, automation, and platform capabilities. Acting as the technical liaison between clients, sales, and delivery teams, the role ensures every solution is both relevant and future-ready.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Solutioning & Collaboration

  • Act as a key member of the solution team, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish partnerships for cohesive, cross-functional collaboration
  • Synchronize Sutherland solutions with client needs and infrastructure
  • Liaise across the Solutioning Team to ensure seamless execution

Client-Facing Engagements

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives for RFPs and client interactions
  • Develop and deliver client presentations and solution overviews
  • Serve as external technical spokesperson and build decision-maker relationships
  • Educate prospects on product usage, implementation, and security
  • Participate in consultations and product capability assessments
  • Resolve client technical difficulties through direct engagement with SPOCs

Solution Design & Innovation

  • Provide subject matter expertise for new sales in O2C, R2R, HCM, or P2P domains
  • Design compelling and transformational solutions with digital technologies (analytics, robotics, workflows, platforms)
  • Orchestrate proof-of-concept (PoC) work for solution validation
  • Identify client challenges and propose implementation options
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive insights, and technology advancements

Discovery & Customization

  • Conduct comprehensive process, functional, and technical discovery
  • Capture pain points and map “As-Is” vs. “To-Be” scenarios
  • Assess regulatory risks and implications
  • Align technical and functional objections into solution paths

Sales & Technical Enablement

  • Assist sales teams with technical presentations and statements of work
  • Match business requirements to tailored technical solutions
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and coordinate supporting resources
  • Respond to proposals, contracts, and change requests with urgency and quality
  • Maintain up-to-date collateral and proposal documentation

Product Knowledge & Roadmap

  • Maintain broad awareness of all in-house products and solutions
  • Provide customer feedback to executive and development teams
  • Contribute to future roadmap planning and strategy articulation


QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:

Technical & Solution Architecture Expertise

  • Ability to architect innovative, cutting-edge customer solutions
  • Strong understanding of finance & accounting processes (Source to Pay, Customer to Cash, Record to Report, Financial Planning & Analysis)
  • Proficient in application development and integration technologies (preferred)
  • Understanding of client software implementation and testing
  • Minimum 15 years of technical experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Computer Science or Engineering

Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen

  • Develop business cases with competitive costing and pricing strategies
  • Participate in go-to-market strategy development for BPT services
  • Quick comprehension of client business models and operational nuances
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying solutions and presenting insights

Collaboration & Team Leadership

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Transition) for implementations and due diligence
  • Lead or participate in internal and client-facing workshops
  • Work effectively within fast-paced, deadline-driven teams
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make compelling presentations in sales meetings and solution pitches
  • Serve as a clear communicator across technical and business audiences

Continuous Learning & Industry Awareness

  • Stay updated by attending educational workshops and reviewing industry publications
  • Build personal networks and actively participate in professional societies
  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes
