Lead Process Engineer - Coal Gasification & Downstream Plants

Key Responsibilities:

Gasification Island & Downstream Plants:

1. Review of PFDs, P&IDs and Heat & Material balances.

2. Checking / Review of Equipment Data Sheets of Gasifiers and associated Equipment including Reactors, Furnaces, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Compressors, Vessels, Storage Tanks, etc.

3. Commissioning / Operations & Optimization of Gasifiers, Gas clean-up Systems, ASU and Downstream Plants which includes Water Gas Shift Unit, Hydrogen-PSA, AGR, SRU, Ammonia Synthesis, Nitric Acid and Ammonium Nitrate.

4. To Lead & Participate in Project Team, providing Technical expertise and guidance.

5. To develop and manage Project Schedules, Budgets, and Resource allocation

6. Troubleshooting Operational issues and implement Process improvements.

7. To develop Process Simulations to optimize Plant performance.

8. Conduct Safety Reviews, HAZOP Studies, and Risk Assessments.

9. To collaborate with cross-functional Teams, including Operations, Maintenance, and Quality control.

General Responsibilities:

1. To develop and maintain Technical Documentation, including Operating Manuals and SOPs

2. To ensure compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory requirements.

3. Stay Up-to-date with Industry Trends, Best Practices, and emerging Technologies.

Educational Qualification:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering

Experience:

- Around 10-12 years of experience in Process Engineering / Technology with focus on Gasification and Downstream Plants.

- Grassroots Project Implementation and Commissioning Experience preferred.

Skillset:

- Excellent Problem-solving and Troubleshooting abilities.

- Effective Communication and Project Management skills.

- Familiarity with Industry Standards (e.g., API, ASME).

- Familiarity with Process Simulation Soft-wares (e.g., ASPEN Plus, HYSYS).
