Job Description

Position: Lead - Payables

Location:

Reporting To:

Lead Payables

Key Responsibilities

Manage all
accounting transactions
including invoice booking, payments, leases, advances, and general entries.
Support in
monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures
as per schedule.
Prepare month-end provisions, prepaid schedules, and other reconciliations as per the
month-close calendar
.
Track and follow up on
advance payments and pending provisions
to ensure timely accounting.
Conduct
vendor reconciliations
and resolve discrepancies as per company policy.
Oversee
payment processing and bank reconciliations
within agreed turnaround times (TAT).
Compute and manage
Direct and Indirect Tax liabilities
and ensure timely payments and filings.
Maintain
MIS reports
and data related to payables and expenses.
Ensure compliance with
financial policies, internal controls, and regulations
.
Monitor
expenditures vs. budgets
and highlight variances.
Provide necessary support during
internal and statutory audits
.
Generate and manage
E-way bills
as required.

Qualifications & Experience

M.Com / CA / CMA / MBA (Finance)
or equivalent qualification.
610 years
of hands-on experience in
payables and accounting
.
Strong understanding of
GAAP and accounting standards
.
Proficiency in
SAP,
Advanced
MS Excel skills
(VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
Experience working with
cross-functional teams
in a corporate environment.
