We are seeking a

Production Support Lead

with strong Java expertise and proven experience in managing application support teams. This role blends hands-on technical troubleshooting (Java, SQL, RCA, monitoring) with operational leadership (team management, stakeholder communication, incident handling). The Lead will ensure application stability, timely resolution of production issues, and continuous service improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and prioritize the day-to-day workload of the Application Support team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents using Java, SQL, and backend technologies.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring issues; implement permanent fixes.
  • Drive performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring enhancements.
  • Manage incident, problem, and change management processes aligned with SLAs.
  • Publish daily/weekly reports and metrics to stakeholders.
  • Handle escalations and lead major incident resolution.
  • Maintain knowledge base, service catalogue, and best practices for application support.
  • Collaborate with development teams for deployments, upgrades, and patches.
  • Mentor, coach, and onboard new team members for technical/operational readiness.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting with Java/J2EE, SQL, Spring, Web Services.
  • Experience in Production Support / Application Support in enterprise environments.
  • Proven expertise in Incident Management, Problem Management, and RCA.
  • Knowledge of application servers, logging frameworks, performance tuning.
  • Exposure to ITIL processes and support methodologies.
  • Ability to handle critical escalations and work under pressure.

Good To Have Skills

  • Familiarity with automation scripts/tools for support.
  • Experience with Agile methods and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of DBMS concepts and distributed environments.
  • Exposure to cloud-based platforms and monitoring tools.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional, global teams.
  • Leadership with mentoring and team development capabilities.
  • High level of initiative, ownership, and accountability.
  • Customer-focused mindset with stakeholder management skills.

Experience Range

  • 8 to 12 years of IT experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years in Production/Application Support.
  • At least 2+ years in a leadership/mentoring capacity.
