Here's what you'll need
About You
- BE/B Tech/ME/M Tech Electrical
- 15-20 years of experience in designing Datacentre buildings projects (Tier 3 & 4).
Experience of working on Hotel (5-star & 7-star hotels) & resorts Universities, Townships,
high-rises, Malls & other commercial buildings will be an added advantage.
- Hands on experience on domestic & international Energy efficiency codes & building codes
- Overseas project experience will be an added advantage.
- Renewable generation & integration knowledge is preferred.
- Design (Concept, FEED, and detail design) of Electrical systems
- Performs design activities viz. SLD’s, AC/DC SLD’s,Layouts, cable schedules, interconnections
schedules, Specifications, Bulk MTO/MR, designs for all Electrical works including internal &
external electrification, SITC of Electric sub-stations, Installation of transformers, Airconditioning systems- Central & package, Fire-fighting equipment’s, Fire alarms & detection,Lifts, Pumps, Road Lighting, Power & control Cables, installation of Security systems, SolarWater heating systems, Earthing,Lightning,containment, indoor Lighting systems etc. To sumup the candidate should be capable of independently handling the design activities coveringall the aspects of the Data Centre building design.
- Performs Equipment sizing calculations like Transformer, Generator, HV/LV cable, AC UPS,
Battery, Capacitor banks, conductor sizing, fault level, indoor & outdoor illumination,
earthing and lightning protection etc.
- Should have EHV Transmission & Distribution knowledge to design AIS & GIS projects upto
220kV.Should have working knowledge of ETAP & should be able to review system studies
calculation/reports independently.
- Applies broad practical knowledge to design layouts & produces – Equipment layouts for
indoor/outdoor substation, trench/tray layouts, lighting, earthing & lightning protection
layouts (Should be able to give mark ups to technicians & should be able to review fromtechnical/quality perspective.)
- Have through knowledge & prepare technical specifications, data sheets for electrical
equipment’s like transformers, DG sets, HT & LT switchgear, Compact substations, UPS, Battery & Battery charger, Distribution boards, Lifts, etc.
- Vendor drawing review of all the electrical equipment’s & calculations.
- Technical Bid evaluation/documentation.
- Monitor installation and ensure smooth operations and functioning of all electro- mechanical services.
- Ability to carry out overall MEP & inter- disciplinary coordination.
- Resolve any design issues & coordinate effectively with leads.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and communicate work with team members all design aspects of the project.
- Attend client meetings for technical clarifications.
- Capable of working under challenging workload subject to change at short notice.
- Good communication & IT skills.
- Clear knowledge of work procedures, and ability to work independently.
