Job Overview The Lead Engineer (Electrical MEP Projects) will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of electrical works within MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) projects. The role involves leading project teams, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards, managing cost and timelines, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project completion. Key Responsibilities 1. Estimation and Costing Plan and estimate quantities and costs for electrical works in MEP projects. Prepare BOQs, evaluate material requirements, and optimize project budgets. 2. Project Management Lead and manage the execution of electrical activities in residential, commercial, and industrial MEP projects from initiation to completion. Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure on-time delivery. Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams for integrated project execution. 3. On-Site Supervision Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgears, panels, wiring, and lighting. Ensure work aligns with approved designs, technical standards, and safety regulations. 4. Quality Control Conduct regular inspections and quality audits. Identify and rectify non-conformities and ensure compliance with project specifications and electrical codes. 5. Team Coordination Supervise and mentor site engineers, contractors, and workforce. Update and revise drawings based on project modifications and client feedback. Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 6-10 years in electrical project execution, including MEP project experience in residential, commercial, or industrial sectors. Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit , and other electrical design/drafting tools. Strong understanding of HT & LT systems , solar power systems , and government licensing processes. Skilled in estimation, costing, and project management consultancy . Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
