The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for electrical system design, calculations, power system studies, procurement activities, and preparation of engineering documents/drawings for oil and gas projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, along with compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review power system studies using ETAP/SKM (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Harmonics, Relay Coordination, Arc Flash, etc.).
• Review equipment sizing: Transformers, Switchgear, Emergency DG, UPS, Battery Charger.
• Electrical calculations: voltage drop, derating, earthing, lightning, and lighting.
• Develop and review SLDs, load lists, cable schedules, block diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.
• Ensure equipment compliance with area classification (hazardous zones).
• Scope definition, progress tracking, resource planning, and coordination with procurement teams.
• Review and prepare datasheets, technical bid evaluations, and purchase requisitions.
• Vendor coordination, technical reviews, FATs, and 3D model reviews.
• Interface with construction teams and provide technical guidance.
• Support training and mentorship for junior engineers and designers.
• Contribute to development of internal procedures and engineering standards.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong background in Electrical Engineering within Oil & Gas sector (10–15 years).
• Proficiency in ETAP/SKM, SPEL, Navisworks, and lighting software like Dialux.
• Familiarity with global codes: IEC, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA, API, IS.
• Experience in hazardous area classification, cathodic protection, and electric heat tracing design.
• Leadership and communication skills with ability to manage multiple deliverables and teams.
