The Business Analyst will support advanced financial planning strategies for high-net-worth clients by delivering accurate financial planning deliverables and collaborating closely with AWPC strategists (estate attorneys, tax attorneys, CFPs, CFAs). This role involves data validation, analysis, and coordination of baseline meetings with strategists and advisors, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs.Key Responsibilities
Data Review & Validation
Request data from advisor to complete data setVerify client data uploaded to BOX (tax returns, account statements, equity compensation, assets/liabilities, major expenses, estate/trust documents).Ensure completeness and accuracy before engagement callsEngagement & Baseline Call CoordinationSchedule and participate in engagement calls; capture detailed notes and review data checklists.Conduct internal and external baseline calls with strategists and advisors to review assumptions and reports.Summarize meetings and ensure timely follow-up on pending actions.Data Entry & Analysis
Complete data entry in MoneyGuide/Wealth Studios within defined timelines.Accurately input investment tickers, cost basis, and market values; prepare net worth, cash flow, and income tax reports for strategist review either in tool or in a separate excel fileProcess Improvement
Monitor BOX notifications to streamline data checks and reduce turnaround time.Suggest workflow enhancements and contribute to efficiency initiatives.Continuous Learning
Continuously upskill in advanced financial planning concepts to effectively support complex cases and contribute to strategic discussions.Participate in client meetings with strategists as necessaryDevelop skills required for transitioning into a Planner role, including conducting strategy meetings with advisors and strategists. Implementing strategies in financial planning tools and ensuring accuracy in deliverables.Create and review eMeeting decks in collaboration with strategists and advisors.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in Financial Planning.Proficiency in Financial Planning tool suite including Naviplan, MoneyGuide, Wealth Studios, Morningstar Workstation, eMeeting, etc.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to meet strict timelines per agreed SLAs.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team structure.Willingness to pursue licensing certifications (Series 7, State Securities, State IAR, State Insurance).Strong communications skills, both oral and written, to interact with team, business partners, advisors, and senior management.Ability to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision.Preferred Qualifications
