Description
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports. Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL). Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver effective visualizations. Build and maintain data models, DAX formulas, and Power Query M scripts. Perform data validation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of BI solutions. Create and maintain ETL processes using SQL or third-party tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory). Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms. Implement row-level security and best practices in data governance. Mentor junior team members and contribute to BI strategy and best practices. Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and project planning activities. Required Skills and Qualifications: 5–8 years of professional experience in Power BI and SQL development. Strong experience with DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling. Advanced knowledge of SQL Server or similar RDBMS; experience with stored procedures, views, indexing, etc. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI architecture. Hands-on experience with ETL processes, preferably using tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica. Experience in integrating Power BI with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Power BI Certification (e.g., PL-300). Experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Big Data technologies. Exposure to Python or R for data analysis is a plus. Experience in working with Agile methodologies.
