Kitchen Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at our hotel, your primary responsibility will be to ensure all equipment is kept in good repair with minimal downtime. You will be expected to perform day-to-day maintenance tasks and promptly complete work orders from various hotel departments, all while following our standard operating procedures. In terms of financial management, you will be required to analyze and monitor energy costs for the department, working within established expense limits. Monitoring the efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, guest entrance doors, television sets, and lighting systems will also be part of your duties. Making minor repairs or replacements as necessary to maintain proper functionality and efficiency is crucial. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with other team members and communicate effectively with different departments to uphold excellent quality and service standards. Sharing your knowledge and skills through training and instruction of staff members will be essential for the overall team's success. When it comes to guest experience, you will respond promptly to repair requests and ensure the security of guest room access and hotel property. Your courteous and timely responses to guest questions and requests will contribute to ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. In terms of responsible business practices, it will be your responsibility to maintain the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Minimizing wastage of electrical equipment, including lamps, air conditioners, and HVAC systems, will be crucial for sustainable operations. Your accountability will be demonstrated through your ability to work neatly and efficiently, maintaining clean and organized work areas. Being able to multitask effectively in a busy environment and strictly adhering to the hotel's Standard Operating Procedures will be expected. To qualify for this role, you must hold an ITI or Diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical fields. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role with a good command of English, both written and oral, is required.
