Junior Testing Engineer

An Electrical Junior Testing Engineer is responsible for assisting in the testing, quality verification, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, equipment, or components. This role supports senior engineers in ensuring products meet technical specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities 1. Testing & Inspection Perform routine and non-routine electrical tests on equipment, panels, motors, transformers, or circuits. Conduct functional, performance, and reliability tests according to procedures. Document test results, anomalies, and deviations. 2. Technical Support Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults. Prepare test setups, connect instruments, and ensure safe handling of equipment. Support commissioning activities at client sites or laboratories. 3. Quality & Compliance Verify products meet company specifications, client requirements, and standards (IEC, IEEE, IS, etc.). Maintain calibration and proper use of measuring instruments (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, etc.). 4. Reporting & Documentation Prepare test reports, logs, and technical documentation. Communicate findings to engineering and production teams. 5. Safety & Process Improvements Follow electrical safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE. Suggest improvements in testing processes and procedures. Skills Required Technical Skills Knowledge of electrical circuits, machines, and power systems Familiarity with testing instruments Basic understanding of control panels, relays, PLCs (preferred) Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics Soft Skills Attention to detail Good communication and teamwork Problem-solving mindset Ability to follow procedures accurately
