Job Title: Junior Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for RHa+d (Ronak Hingarh Design Studio) and Konark Realtors. This role involves handling GST filings, expense tracking, and financial reporting, as well as assisting in preparing P&L statements, balance sheets, and other reports critical for strategic decision-making.

The candidate must be comfortable working across two businesses with different financial models—design services/products and real estate development—and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts for both companies using Tally, Zoho Books, or similar software.
  • Record all daily transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely reconciliations.

2. GST & Tax Compliance

  • Prepare and file GST returns (monthly/quarterly as applicable) for both businesses.
  • Handle TDS deductions, filings, and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants for IT filings and compliance-related matters.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Track expenses vs. revenues, highlighting any discrepancies or overspending.
  • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Generate financial summaries for management to assess business health and plan investments.

4. Expense & Revenue Management

  • Maintain detailed records of project-wise costs, vendor payments, and client receipts.
  • Work with the design and real estate teams to forecast upcoming financial requirements.
  • Monitor profit margins for design projects and real estate developments.

5. Audit & Compliance

  • Assist in preparing documents for internal and statutory audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Law, GST Act, and other applicable regulations.

6. Process Improvement

  • Implement systematic expense tracking mechanisms for both companies.
  • Suggest improvements in financial processes to optimize cash flow and working capital.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: B.Com / M.Com in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to real estate and design sectors.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.
  • Advanced MS Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, Financial Analysis).
  • Understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian Taxation.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across two businesses.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy of financial statements and reports.
  • On-time submission of GST, TDS, and other filings.
  • Expense and revenue tracking efficiency.
  • Audit readiness (minimal discrepancies).
  • Improvement in reporting systems for better decision-making.
