Junior Accountant

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, expense tracking, and assisting in financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and a willingness to learn and grow within the finance department. Key Responsibilities Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process Maintain general ledger and assist in reconciliation of accounts Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities Help prepare financial reports and summaries for internal use Support audits by providing documentation and reports as required Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate data flow Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field (B.Com/M.Com preferred) 0–2 years of accounting experience or internships Basic knowledge of accounting principles (Tally/ERP software knowledge is a plus) Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and organizational skills Willingness to learn and take initiative Preferred Skills (Bonus) Experience with Tally ERP or Zoho Books Understanding of GST, TDS, and Income Tax Familiarity with bank reconciliation, petty cash handling Job Type: Permanent Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month Benefits: Health insurance Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
