Automate schema migrations, deployments, and pipeline orchestration (e.g., with dbt, Airflow, or Matillion). Monitor query performance and resource utilization; tune warehouses, caching, and clustering. Implement workload isolation (multi-cluster warehouses, resource monitors) for concurrent workloads. Define and enforce role-based access control (RBAC), masking policies, and object tagging. Ensure data encryption, compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and audit logging are correctly configured. Establish best practices for dimensional modeling, data vault architecture, and data quality. Create and maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and governance standards. Partner with business analysts and data scientists to understand requirements and deliver analytics-ready datasets. Stay current with Snowflake feature releases (e.g., Snowpark, Native Apps) and propose adoption strategies. Contribute to the long-term data platform roadmap and cloud cost-optimization initiatives.
