About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java/Spring Boot Developer with a strong background in eCommerce platforms and applications. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems and microservices to deliver high-performance online shopping and order management experiences. Exposure to logistics or supply chain systems will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable eCommerce solutions.

• Integrate with key modules such as payment gateways, product catalogs, order management, inventory, and shipping systems.
• Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability for high-traffic online stores.
• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL database models (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Implement best practices for application security, authentication, and data protection.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on performance and customer impact.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Java (8 or above) with hands-on experience in Spring Boot and Spring Security frameworks.
• Experience in developing and integrating RESTful backend APIs and microservices with modern frontend frameworks such as React.js, Next.js, or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of eCommerce business processes — product catalog, cart, checkout, order lifecycle, pricing, and customer management.
• Experience integrating with payment gateways, shipping APIs, and third-party eCommerce platforms.
• Expertise in JPA/Hibernate, PostgreSQL and database schema design.
• Experience with message queues and asynchronous processing.
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Version control proficiency with Git and collaborative tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
• Experience in customizing and developing solutions on Magento / Adobe Commerce, Shopify / Shopify Plus, or other eCommerce platforms.

Good to Have

• Experience or understanding of Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience using application monitoring and performance tools (New Relic, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
