Job Description

Role Overview

The IT Training Manager will lead Kohler’s technology training strategy using the Accelerate, Align, Assess, and Adapt framework, with an initial focus on Pune, India teams and a vision to scale globally. This role will design and deliver technology-focused training programs for IT associates, while partnering with the Corporate Learning & Development (L&D) team to ensure global consistency. Over time, the scope of training will expand to include AI learning programs for Kohler’s global IT teams and ultimately global associates, supporting the CDO’s aspiration to build a digitally skilled workforce. The role will report directly to the Sr. Manager – IT, Technology Governance Office (TGO) and collaborate with Digital Leadership to align training priorities with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement annual technology training plans aligned with Digital Leadership priorities.
  • Maintain IT skill databases, including critical skills mapping across Digital roles.
  • Identify and integrate technology certifications and learning paths into the curriculum.
  • Program Design & Delivery
  • Create blended learning experiences using virtual academies (Udemy, Skillsoft, LinkedIn Learning) and in-house platforms.
  • Introduce innovative learning methods (gamification, mobile learning, leaderboards).
  • Build pre- and post-assessments for targeted programs to measure impact.
  • Global Collaboration
  • Partner with Corporate L& D to design global technology training programs.
  • Governance & Budget
  • Prepare and manage annual training budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards in all learning initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement & AI Expansion
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and certifications.
  • Develop a phased roadmap for AI training, starting with foundational AI concepts for IT teams and expanding for all global associates.
  • Collaborate with Corporate L&D and external vendors to integrate AI learning paths into the global curriculum.
  • Community Building
  • Develop an associate-driven content-sharing portal.
  • Create forums and learning weeks to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Education (with strong exposure to IT learning platforms and technical academy development).
  • Minimum 8 year’s experience in training and development management, strategy, execution, and technology learning program design
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management
  • Analytical skills for learning outcome measurement.
  • Technical Proficiency in LMS platforms (Cornerstone, Workday), Authoring tools (Adobe Captivate), Data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI), Content Creation (Adobe Suite, Canva).
