Job Scope:
- The Head of Agency Recruitment & Training/Development plays a vital role in driving Top Tier quality recruitment, training content development and training to drive active agents and revenue growth and ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified leads. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive sales development efforts, manage and coach sales teams, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve business objectives.
- This role is a core part of Africa Agency team and supports overall Africa Agency Recruitment, Training & Development.
- Responsible for design and deliver Africa wide Agency recruitment & training strategies and programs with a focus on developing NextGen Agency Leaders to achieve our ambitious business growth objectives.
- Responsible for running train the trainer certification programs for Trainers & Leaders, capacity building and training for pillar2 staff
- Responsible for implementing LIMRA CC recruitment & selection too across all our 5 markets
- Leverage on AI-powered self-training and coaching to provide bespoke trainings to our agents and leaders
- Responsible for leading on Pru Academy across all our 5 markets
- Developing our Agency leaders, with support from other initiatives, is critical to our sustainable growth. Continuously and significantly scaling up quality manpower and increase our No. of Active Agents rely on our professional agency leaders. The development and growth of our Agency leaders in both quality and quantity is essential to fuel our business growth.

As the Head of Agency Development, you'll work closely with other departments to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment.

Providing regular performance reports to executive leadership.
- Designing and implementing comprehensive recruitment and training and onboarding programs to ensure new team members are equipped for success
- Setting individual and team performance goals, and providing ongoing coaching and mentorship to help them achieve those goals
- Conducting regular performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback
- Creating and implementing sales development playbooks that outline best practices and processes
- Defining target markets and ideal customer profiles to focus sales efforts
- Establishing outreach strategies, to engage with potential customers
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations and product, to ensure sales development efforts are aligned with company objectives.
- Setting and tracking pipeline generation targets to ensure consistent growth
- Analyzing pipeline metrics and conversion rates to identify areas for improvement
- Identifying and addressing bottlenecks in the sales process to optimize pipeline flow
- Collaborating with marketing teams to optimize lead quality and ensure leads are properly qualified
- Selecting and implementing sales engagement platforms that streamline outreach and communication
- Overseeing CRM usage and data integrity to ensure accurate sales insights
- Evaluating and adopting new sales technologies that can drive innovation and improvement
- Working with sales leadership to ensure smooth handoffs and efficient sales processes
- Partnering with marketing teams on lead generation campaigns and optimizing lead quality
- Collaborating with product teams to ensure effective product messaging and positioning
- Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, and providing data-driven insights to improve sales processes.
Who we are looking for (Knowledge & Technical Skills):
- Understanding of the insurance industry, including current and emerging business models
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with strong business acumen
- Strong communication skill, influential and persuasive, particularly with C-level stakeholders
- Demonstrate maturity and possesses transformational mindset and keen awareness of corporate dynamics and HQs environment.
- Able and willing to work independently and act as team lead in a cross-functional environment.
- Good understanding of project management methodologies, framework, and standards.
Working Experience:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales or sales development roles, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership position. A proven track record of exceeding quota and driving revenue growth is also essential
- Experience in Agency Distribution & Operations in life insurance and financial industry will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to multiple markets an added advantage
- Familiarity with other sales tools and technologies is also a plus.
Education:
- 1st Degree in relevant field of study
