IT Support Engineer

Job Title: IT Executive Location: Doom Duma Department: IT / Infrastructure Reports To: IT Manager / Head of IT Job Summary: We are looking for an IT Executive with expertise in Active Directory, DNS, VMware, and Windows Server administration. The candidate will also be responsible for rack management and hardware configurations, ensuring the company’s IT infrastructure runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Active Directory (user management, GPOs, authentication, security policies). Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and network-related services. Manage Windows Server environments (installation, patching, updates, role configuration). Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware virtualization (ESXi, vCenter, VM creation, resource allocation). Perform rack management: installation, cabling, power management, and hardware troubleshooting. Monitor server performance, ensure uptime, and optimize resource usage. Handle data backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures. Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and networking equipment. Document IT setups, incidents, and change management activities. Coordinate with vendors/service providers for IT infrastructure support. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2–5 years of experience in system and infrastructure administration. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP. Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter. Knowledge of rack setup, cabling, and data center best practices. Understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and documentation ability.
