Position Overview

IT Sales Manager


Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for IT services and solutions to meet and exceed business targets.
  • Forecast sales revenue and pipeline; monitor KPIs and conversions.

Lead Generation & Business Development:

  • Identify potential clients and initiate contact through networking, cold calling, events, and partnerships.
  • Build a sustainable sales pipeline through consistent outreach and follow-ups.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Manage key enterprise accounts with end-to-end responsibility for client satisfaction.
  • Conduct presentations, product demos, and workshops to showcase solutions.

Proposal & Negotiation:

  • Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and presentations for prospects.
  • Handle price negotiation, contract finalization, and closing of deals.

Market & Industry Insight:

  • Track market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities.
  • Recommend new service offerings based on market needs and feedback.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with technical, pre-sales, and project delivery teams to ensure alignment.
  • Maintain records of client interactions and prepare reports using CRM tools.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in B2B IT services/solutions sales, with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technologies (ERP, CRM, Cloud, SaaS, Automation, Custom Software Development).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex client environments.


Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA in Sales, Marketing, or IT Management.
  • Experience selling to sectors such as BFSI, Manufacturing, Construction, EPC.
  • Familiarity with Government or PSU IT projects.
