IT Project Manager

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects in a staff augmentation setting.
• Work directly with the customer to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Draft and submit budget proposals,and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Monitor project performance with the help of appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and key stakeholders.
• Ensure a strong governance structure is in place to support the decision-making process during the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain a stakeholder management strategy to effectively engage all stakeholders and ensure their needs are met.
• Implement project governance policies and practices to ensure consistent project execution and decision-making.
• Prepare and present regular project reports and metrics to stakeholders, including project status, risks, issues, and benefits realization.
• Define and track project metrics such as cost, time, scope, and quality to assess project performance and make necessary adjustments.
• Utilize ServiceNow for project management tasks, including tracking project progress, managing the project portfolio, and integrating with other enterprise tools and processes.
• Conduct regular project review meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback, using ServiceNow's reporting and dashboard features for data-driven discussions.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project management
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in IT project management, especially in a staff augmentation or consulting role.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience seeing project through the full life cycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
