Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze IT Needs

    : Assess the IT needs of the organization to determine the necessary equipment, software, and services.
      1. Vendor Research

        : Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers to ensure they meet the organization's requirements.
      1. Contract Negotiation

        : Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals.
      1. Order Management

        : Oversee the ordering process to ensure timely delivery of IT resources.
      1. Quality Assurance

        : Ensure that procured items meet specified quality standards.
      1. Supplier Relationships

        : Maintain and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
      1. Inventory Management

        : Manage the inventory of IT resources and ensure they are updated as necessary.
      1. Record Keeping

        : Maintain records of purchases, contracts, and invoices.
      1. Compliance

        : Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
      1. Problem Resolution

        : Handle any issues or problems that arise with orders or suppliers.

      Qualifications:

      1. Experience

        : Proven experience as an IT Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.
      1. Technical Knowledge

        : Strong understanding of IT equipment, software, and services.
      1. Negotiation Skills

        : Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.
      1. Analytical Skills

        : Strong analytical skills to evaluate vendor performance and cost-saving opportunities.
      1. Communication Skills

        : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      1. Time Management

        : Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
      1. Education

        : Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
      1. Certifications

        : Relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, APP, ITIL) are advantageous.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      1. Industry Knowledge

        : Familiarity with the specific industry the organization operates in.
      1. Technical Certifications

        : Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
      1. Procurement Tools

        : Proficiency in procurement tools and software (e.g., Purchase-to-pay systems).
