Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

own, design, control, and continuously improve

  • Accurate product coding & BOMs
  • Zero inventory leakage
  • Shelf-life & wastage control
  • Smooth multi-store operations
  • Real-time, decision-ready dashboards for management
🧠 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC)1️⃣ ERP & SYSTEM OWNERSHIP (END-TO-END)
  • Own the complete ERP lifecycle:
  • Purchase to Pay (P2P)
  • Inventory to Production
  • Production to Store Dispatch
  • Store Sale to Accounts
  • Ensure

    no manual parallel systems

    (Excel / WhatsApp dependency).
2️⃣ PRODUCT CODING & MASTER DATA CONTROL
  • Design and manage

    logical, scalable product coding

    for:
  • Raw materials
  • Semi-finished goods
  • Finished sweets & bakery items
  • Gift boxes & customised hampers
  • Ensure

    different use-cases have different codes

    :
  • Loose sale
  • Bulk sale
  • Gift packing
  • Corporate orders
  • Prevent duplicate, wrong, or unapproved codes.
3️⃣ BOM (BILL OF MATERIAL) & COSTING CONTROL
  • Create and maintain

    accurate BOMs

    for:
  • Each sweet
  • Bakery items
  • Gift boxes (box + sweets + accessories)
  • Link BOMs with:
  • Auto inventory deduction
  • Exact costing
  • Margin visibility
  • Update BOMs on:
  • Size change
  • Recipe change
  • Vendor change
4️⃣ PRODUCTION, SHELF LIFE & WASTAGE CONTROL
  • Implement system controls for:
  • Batch-wise production tracking
  • Manufacturing date & expiry
  • FIFO / FEFO logic
  • Generate daily reports on:
  • Wastage
  • Dead stock
  • Near-expiry items
5️⃣ MULTI-STORE INVENTORY & SALES VISIBILITY
  • Ensure real-time visibility of:
  • Store-wise sales
  • Store-wise stock
  • Store-wise wastage
  • Store-wise margins
  • Build dashboards so

    management does not need to ask

6️⃣ GIFTING & CUSTOM BOX PROCESS AUTOMATION
  • Design system for:
  • Box coding
  • Vendor mapping
  • BOM for box + sweets
  • Auto costing & margin lock
  • Ensure

    customisation does not overload purchase or management teams

7️⃣ SQL, REPORTING & DECISION SUPPORT
  • Use SQL to:
  • Validate data mismatches
  • Generate operational & management reports
  • Provide insights on:
  • Cost drift
  • Vendor variance
  • Product profitability
8️⃣ DATA BACKUP, SECURITY & RISK MANAGEMENT
  • Manage:
  • Daily, weekly, monthly backups
  • Cloud & local syncing
  • Control access rights:
  • Store
  • Production
  • Accounts
  • Ensure audit-ready systems.
9️⃣ SOP DOCUMENTATION & TEAM TRAINING
  • Create SOPs for:
  • Code creation
  • BOM changes
  • Purchase & inventory entries
  • Train non-technical staff so systems work

1️⃣0️⃣ SCALE & FUTURE READINESS
  • Prepare systems for:
  • New stores
  • New cities
  • E-commerce integration
🛠 REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCEMust-Have
  • 5–10 years experience in ERP / IT Process roles
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Manufacturing + Retail workflows
  • BOM & costing logic
  • Inventory & shelf-life management
  • SQL query-level knowledge
  • ERP exposure (SAP / Oracle / Tally / any manufacturing ERP)
Preferred
  • Experience in FMCG / Food / Sweets / Bakery / Retail chains
  • Multi-store ERP handling
  • Shopify / POS integration exposure
