Business Development Executive (BDE)

Responsibilities

  • Online Bidding:

    Regularly bid on platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, Guru, etc., with a focus on AI/ML, data science, and related technology projects.
  • Proposal Writing:

    Understand client requirements specific to AI solutions and write tailored, technically sound, and persuasive proposals.
  • Client Communication:

    Initiate conversations with potential clients to understand their business challenges and position AI services as viable solutions.
  • Lead Generation:

    Identify and qualify new leads in AI domains like predictive analytics, computer vision, NLP, chatbot development, and automation.
  • Requirement Gathering:

    Work closely with AI engineers and solution architects to scope requirements and provide accurate project estimates.
  • Sales Pipeline Management:

    Maintain a structured pipeline of AI project bids, conversations, follow-ups, and conversions.
  • Target Achievement:

    Meet monthly and quarterly targets related to AI project acquisition and lead conversion.
  • Collaboration:

    Act as a bridge between clients and internal AI/ML technical teams to ensure accurate delivery post-closure.
  • Reporting:

    Maintain logs of bidding and sales activities with regular reporting on outcomes and insights.

Must-Have Skills

  • AI Sales Experience:

    Prior experience in selling services like AI model development, ML solutions, computer vision, NLP, or automation.
  • Bidding Expertise:

    Hands-on experience with Upwork, Freelancer, Guru, etc., with a focus on technical and AI projects.
  • Proposal Writing:

    Ability to draft solution-oriented, business-driven proposals tailored to AI projects.
  • Client Communication:

    Excellent English communication with a consultative approach to understand and solve client pain points.
  • AI Awareness:

    Working knowledge of AI technologies, use cases, benefits, and limitations.
  • Lead Conversion:

    Proven ability to close deals in AI service verticals.
  • Presentation Skills:

    Ability to develop pitch decks or capability documents around AI solutions.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • LinkedIn Outreach:

    Experience with generating AI project leads through LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other outbound strategies.
  • CRM Familiarity:

    Experience using CRMs like HubSpot, Zoho, or Pipedrive to manage AI-specific sales pipelines.
  • Market Research:

    Ability to analyze industry trends and discover areas where AI can be implemented.
  • Email Campaigns:

    Exposure to cold emailing and lead nurturing in AI product or service environments.
  • Tech Stack Knowledge:

    Familiarity with AI tools, frameworks, and cloud platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, OpenAI APIs, AWS AI services) is a plus.

Education Qualification Required

  • Graduation:

    B.Tech/B.E., BCA, BBA, or any graduate with a background in IT or Business.
  • Post-Graduation:

    MBA in Marketing/IT, MCA, or any relevant PG qualification with exposure
