The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at KU plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of quality, ensuring compliance with accreditation frameworks, and driving continuous improvement across academic and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership

  • Establish, implement, and monitor quality benchmarks for all academic, administrative, and research activities.
  • Lead the preparation, submission, and follow-up of accreditations (NAAC, NBA, UGC, AICTE, NIRF, etc.).
  • Drive policies for continuous academic and institutional quality enhancement.
  • Academic & Research Quality

  • Promote best practices in teaching, learning, research, and student support services.
  • Develop and monitor academic audit processes for all schools under the University.
  • Encourage research, innovation, and publication aligned with global standards.
  • Compliance & Accreditation

  • Oversee compliance with national and international accreditation bodies.
  • Prepare AQARs, SSRs, and other mandatory reports with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain effective documentation and evidence systems for audits and inspections.
  • Capacity Building & Training

  • Organize faculty development programs, workshops, and training on quality initiatives.
  • Build awareness among faculty, staff, and students about quality parameters.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with deans, HODs, and administrative units for quality assurance.
  • Act as a liaison with statutory bodies, external agencies, and peer institutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ph.D. degree with at least

    15 years of academic and administrative experience

    in higher education.
  • Proven track record in

    quality assurance, accreditation processes, and academic governance

    .
  • In-depth understanding of

    NAAC, NBA, UGC, and AICTE frameworks

    .
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in policy planning, academic audits, and institutional reforms.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience as IQAC Director/ Assistant Director with quality assurance responsibilities.
  • Publications and contributions in the field of quality enhancement in higher education.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive institutional change.

Remuneration

  • Commensurate with qualifications, experience, and as per university norms.
