Job Title: IoT Engineer 📍 Location: Arunachal Pradesh / Remote 🏢 Company: Samnic Tech Pvt Ltd 📅 Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract About the Role: Samnic Tech Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced IoT Engineer to join our team for a mission-driven, field-oriented project— The Mithun Detection System , aimed at tracking and protecting semi-wild cattle (Mithuns) across a 200 km range using LoRa, GPS, and ultra-low-power hardware. This is a hands-on hardware-focused role. You'll work closely with RF/LoRa, Embedded, and Power Systems teams to build robust, long-life IoT solutions for rural and forest environments. Key Responsibilities: Design and deploy energy-efficient IoT tracking hardware (GPS + LoRa) Integrate communication protocols like LoRaWAN with field devices Coordinate with Embedded & RF Engineers to optimize system performance Manage sensor interfacing and data packet structuring Conduct field tests in variable terrains and environmental conditions Document firmware/hardware integrations and test outcomes Troubleshoot and debug device failures in real-time deployment scenarios Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related field 3+ years of experience in IoT device development and deployment Proficiency with microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, ESP32) Working knowledge of LoRa, BLE, GPS modules Hands-on experience with IoT protocols: MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN Familiarity with ultra-low-power design and battery optimization Strong debugging skills using logic analyzers, multimeters, and serial tools Experience with remote firmware updates (OTA) and security best practices Preferred Skills: Experience working with ChirpStack or The Things Network (TTN) Exposure to solar-powered IoT systems Understanding of cattle tracking or precision agriculture systems Ability to work in rural/off-grid field deployment environments Why Join Us?
