Job Overview

Soni Sapphire is looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to handle end-to-end inventory operations for artificial, brass, and silver jewellery. The role requires strong control over SKU management, stock accuracy, ageing, job work tracking, and omnichannel inventory coordination across warehouse, retail, and online platforms.

This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in high-SKU jewellery inventory management, ERP systems, and process-driven operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Stock Control

Manage day-to-day jewellery inventory for artificial, brass, and silver categories

Ensure 100% physical vs system stock accuracy

Oversee tagging, barcoding, binning, and SKU discipline

Conduct cycle counts, monthly audits, and surprise stock checks

SKU Management & ERP Operations

Create and maintain SKU hierarchy (collection, design, variant)

Prevent duplicate SKUs and incorrect tagging

Update and control MRP, discounts, and product attributes in ERP

Work on systems such as Tally, Marg, Zoho, Unicommerce, Shopify, or jewellery ERP

Ageing, Slow-Moving & Dead Stock Control

Track inventory ageing by SKU and collection

Identify slow-moving and dead stock

Recommend and execute discounting, bundling, re-plating, re-polishing, or liquidation strategies

Job Work, Vendor & WIP Tracking

Track inventory sent for plating, polishing, repair, and assembly

Maintain job work issue & receipt records

Monitor WIP ageing and vendor turnaround time

Resolve shortages, damages, and quality rejections with vendors

Omnichannel Inventory Coordination

Ensure real-time stock sync between warehouse, retail stores, and online channels

Prevent overselling and negative stock on website and marketplaces

Coordinate stock transfers and replenishment

Returns, Repairs & Quality Control

Manage customer returns and repair inventory separately

Ensure QC before returned items re-enter saleable stock

Minimize losses due to handling damage or polish fading

MIS, Reporting & SOP Compliance

Prepare daily and monthly inventory MIS reports

Track KPIs such as stock accuracy, shrinkage %, ageing %, WIP TAT

Implement and improve inventory SOPs

Train and manage inventory staff

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate in Commerce / Operations / Supply Chain (preferred)

5–10 years experience in jewellery inventory management

Strong hands-on experience with high-SKU fashion jewellery

Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP systems
