HIRING: Interim CEO – Capital Equipment (Domestic & International Business)

An established, promoter-led Indian manufacturing company in the capital equipment space is seeking a seasoned Interim CEO with a techno-commercial background and a proven track record of driving rapid business scale-up — both domestically and internationally.


The company is well-known in its niche and has strong technical products. However, it now requires a transformational leader to accelerate growth, energize the sales engine, mentor the top team, and build the foundation for an IPO or institutional capital event in the next 3 years.


What’s Expected of You


Business Growth and Strategy

  • Architect and execute a 3-year roadmap to scale revenues 3x
  • Own the P&L and drive profitability across business units
  • Build a scalable, data-driven sales and business development engine
  • Accelerate growth in domestic as well as international markets (APAC, MENA, Africa)


Sales and Market Expansion

  • Lead the company’s international business strategy – distributor network, export sales, partnerships
  • Revamp domestic sales structure, improve conversion cycles, and enhance customer engagement
  • Position the company as a preferred brand globally in its niche


Leadership and Mentorship

  • Mentor the promoter and senior team to upgrade capabilities, systems, and vision alignment
  • Coach the leadership team to take ownership of outcomes
  • Bring outside-in thinking, rigor, and growth orientation to a traditional setup


Systems, Operations, and IPO Preparedness

  • Streamline operations, enforce reporting and review mechanisms, and drive execution accountability
  • Institutionalize SOPs, dashboards, CRM, ERP, and performance KPIs
  • Work with external advisors to prepare for IPO or strategic investment


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Techno-commercial leader with 15+ years in capital equipment or project engineering industries
  • Has scaled an industrial business from ₹100–200 Cr to ₹300–600 Cr or more
  • Proven exposure to domestic and export markets, managing complex sales cycles and partner ecosystems
  • Prior roles as CEO, COO, or Business Head with end-to-end business ownership
  • Track record of driving 2x to 3x growth, building teams, and transforming traditional businesses
  • Comfortable working with promoter-led, mid-size manufacturing companies
  • Strong leadership, execution, people development, and strategic planning skills
